Happy Valentine’s Day!

I had the most wonderful V-day ever! A dozen roses crowded the table from my man plus the one I got for him. I made heart shaped pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. Yum! Then I made Angel Food Cupcakes with Strawberry Whipped Cream and a fresh strawberry on top. Cupcake Wars on the Food Network is one of my fave shows so I tried to get creative. It was my first time making cupcakes from scratch. Malik helped me along the way and thank God for our Kitchen Aid mixer! Makes life a whole lot easier. They turned out delish! What was even betttterrr was our V-Day dinner. Vodka Oyster Shooters, beet & tomato salad with lilikoi vinegarette, and a prime New York with port Demi glaze and Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes! Now I’m going to sleep like a baby next to my babies! Muah, Good nite!
Adventure Day!

The babies, my sis and I had a fun filled adventure going to K-Land dipping their feet in the ice cold river, cliff traffic jams and tons of rain! Then we went to my Aunty’s condo for a visit where the rain continued to fall and we walked through ankle deep rainwater in the parking lot! Here’s some of the pics from the day. -02/08/2011
Super Bowl XLVI

We spent our Super Bowl Sunday at home with family and friends. I made Korean chicken and lomi salmon spread which was quite the hit. I’m so happy that Malik inspires me to cook and got me the best recipe book(I think anyways). There are so many good recipes that are easy to make and they taste amazing!
Anywho the game was Giants vs Patriots. I wanted the Giants to win, but then during the end I wanted the Patriots to win for some reason. All in all I didn’t really care because neither team is who I would root for, haha. It was a great game though.
Today

Today I picked up my sister from the airport. She’s staying with us for five days and I’m so happy. She has a brand new baby girl too. Two months younger then my baby girl. We are going to have fun, fun, fun!
We started off her vacay having some lunch at Beach Bums in Maalaea. They have the best chicken wings next to Captain Jacks.
Next, we took a long walk in kapalua on the village course. It was my first time to the duck pond and we had a nice greeting from the ducks, but I think because they were hungry. ;)
Baby’s First Time at the Beach

We took Cayenne to the beach for the first time. She loves bath time at home so we figured she’d like the ocean too. Not exactly what we imagined. :) She was crying and I think my bf contributed to the uneasiness of her first experience. The waves were a little rough for baby and the tide was high and the ocean looked thick. I suggested going to the tide pools, which are calm and shallow. But my bf being the man that he is went straight for the shorebreak. He plopped her in the sand, which if someone did that to me I would cry too. The sand texture probably didn’t feel to great on her bare bum.
Anyway, we had fun with her and know she will be a beach baby! I can’t wait till she wants to surf! Oh wait, I can. Don’t grow up to fast, stay young and pure as long as possible baby girl :)
